Color Identifier: Paint Match — Privacy Policy

Color Identifier: Paint Match ("the App") is developed by Mobile Card Games & Travel Apps LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and how your privacy is protected.

1. Data We Collect

The app handles the following data:

• Camera and photo library images: Images you capture or select to identify colors. All color identification happens entirely on your device, matched against a color database bundled inside the app — your images are never uploaded to any server and never leave your device.
• Palettes and favorites: The colors and palettes you save, stored locally on your device.
• Usage analytics: The app uses Google Firebase Analytics to log anonymous app events (for example, onboarding choices and completed purchases), along with usage and session data (app opens, session duration), device information, and a randomly generated app-instance identifier collected by the Firebase SDK. No images or image content are ever included in analytics.
• Purchase information: Records of your subscription transactions, managed by Apple and RevenueCat.
• Install attribution: The app requests an attribution token from Apple (AdServices) to measure which Apple Search Ads campaign led to the install. This token contains no personal information, does not use your advertising identifier (IDFA), and is used only in aggregate.

The app does not collect your name, email address, location, or contacts, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only to provide the app's features:

• Images are analyzed on your device to identify colors and match them to named colors and paints in the bundled database.
• The app includes a Share extension so you can identify colors from images shared from other apps; data passed between the app and its extension stays entirely on your device.
• Notifications, if you enable them, are generated locally on your device — no push-notification server is involved.
• Analytics events help us understand which features are used so we can improve the app.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

Your images are never shared with anyone. The app shares limited, non-image data with these services:

• Google Firebase Analytics (Google privacy policy): Receives the usage and session data, device information, and app-instance identifier described above.
• RevenueCat (revenuecat.com): Manages subscriptions. RevenueCat receives purchase transaction tokens from Apple and a random anonymous app-user ID — never your name, email, or images. Payments themselves are processed by Apple; we never see your payment card details.
• Apple (Apple privacy policy): Processes purchases and provides the Search Ads attribution token.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties.

4. Data Storage and Retention

• On your device: Your saved colors, palettes, and settings are stored locally. Palettes you export are saved to your photo library only when you choose to save them.
• On our servers: We do not operate any server that stores your images or personal data.
• Deletion: You can delete saved colors and palettes in the app at any time; uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

5. Data Security

Because color identification happens entirely on your device, your images are never transmitted anywhere. The limited analytics and purchase data described above is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Deny camera or photo library permissions in iOS Settings, which prevents the app from accessing your images.
• Disable notifications in iOS Settings at any time.
• Delete saved colors and palettes in the app, or remove all app data by uninstalling the app.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over your personal data, including the rights to know, access, correct, and delete it. Because we do not hold your data on servers we operate, there is typically nothing for us to access or delete on request — deleting the App deletes your data. Where the App does process data in transit, or a third-party service described above collects data, you may contact us at the email below to exercise your rights, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. In some regions, including the European Union, a higher minimum age applies to consent for data processing; the same statement applies there — we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the applicable age.

8. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting user data on any system we operate, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
